Yoga Class – Advice

  1. Bring a mat or thick towel to lie on.
  2. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows complete freedom of movement.
  3. Bring something warm to cover you during relaxation e.g. jumper,
  4. Practise on an empty stomach. Wait at least 4 hours after a heavy meal, 1 to 2 hours after a light meal.
  5. Women should note that it is generally not recommended to practise strenuous or inverted postures during menstruation, especially during the initial days when the flow is heaviest.
  6. If you are in any doubt about your health or fitness to practise yoga, consult your doctor before coming to the class and follow your doctor’s advice.
  7. If you experience any discomfort or difficulty during the class, seek advice from the teacher immediately.
  8. Please inform the teacher if you develop any new physical limitations or health problems or if you become pregnant.
